How to Apply

The first step in learning more about our community is to submit an online inquiry form.

This form helps us learn a little about you and your child, and gives you the option to sign up for a tour or an open house. We’ll use your contact information to share details about our programs and the admissions process.

The best way to learn more about Montessori education is to experience the classroom in action. We require a visit before an application can be submitted. 

If you live outside of the DC area, our Admissions department can tailor the application process to meet your needs.

If you do not see a tour slot or Open House date that works well for your family, please reach out to Omi Eaddie, Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management at o.eaddie@aidanschool.org.

The application and a $60 non-refundable application fee are submitted through the Aidan Montessori admissions portal. Use the portal to keep track of checklists for admission requirements for each student.

You may request an optional teacher recommendation and/or school records after completing the application for students who are currently enrolled in a program outside of the home.

Parents and/or guardians are required to participate in an in-person interview with Admissions.

During this meeting, we will discuss your child’s growth and development, family expectations, answer questions about our program and determine if Aidan is the best fit for your family.

Once you submit an application, Admissions will contact you to schedule an interview.

Prospective toddlers are invited to visit a classroom for an opportunity to experience the environment and engage with our teachers.

The visit allows us to observe each child’s emerging independence, social interaction, communication, and engagement while helping us determine whether our community is a supportive fit for the child and family.

Teacher recommendations can be requested through the Aidan Montessori admissions portal. We require two (2) teacher recommendations for elementary applicants. One must be from the current teacher and the other may be supplemental from an adult who can speak to the child’s academic and social readiness (e.g. tutor, coach, clergy member).

Progress reports are required for the current school year and one year prior. Families should submit the transcript request form through the Aidan admissions portal.

Parents and/or guardians are required to participate in an interview with Admissions. During this meeting, we will discuss your child’s growth and development, your educational goals, your family, and your interest in joining our school community.

Admissions will reach out to schedule your Parent Interview appointment once your application has been completed.

The applicant visit allows us to meet your child in person and learn more about them.

During the visit, our teachers will work directly with your child, giving them a lesson and spending quality time together. This is an important step in helping us connect by sharing more about our school and learning more about your family.  

Virtual visits can be arranged for families residing outside of the DC area.
