Aidan accepts students ranging from 18 months through 12 years old.

Here are ages by level:

• Young Children's Community (YCC): 18 months - 3 years
• Primary: 2.5 - 6 years
• Lower Elementary: 6 - 9 years
• Upper Elementary: 9 - 12 years

Here are levels by their conventional equivalents:

• YCC & Primary: Preschool
• Final Year of Primary: Kindergarten
• Lower Elementary: First through Third Grades
• Upper Elementary: Fourth through Sixth Grades

Half-day Young Children's Community 8:15 AM - 11:15 AM

Full-day Young Children's Community 8:15 AM - 3:00 PM

Primary: 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Lower Elementary: 8:00 AM - 3:45 PM

Upper Elementary: 8:00 AM - 3:45 PM

After School Program: Ends at 6:00 PM

Yes, we do! Aidan's After School Program is open to children in the Primary and Elementary levels. We do not offer After School Care for our Toddler children. We also offer Discovery classes after school. Learn more at this link.

Aidan serves approximately 200 students ranging in age from 18 months to 12 years.

Our Upper Elementary Program ends at sixth grade.

Our students go on to attend a wide variety of independent, parochial, and public schools. You can learn more about where Aidan alumni have been accepted at this link.

Yes. Aidan is recognized by the Association Montessori Internationale/USA . Aidan is also accredited by the Association of Independent Maryland Schools (AIMS) and Association of Independent Schools of Greater Washington (AISGW).

Staff and sibling applications are due on December 8, 2023 for the 2024-25 school year.

Applications for new families are due January 12, 2024 for the 2024-25 school year. This includes mid-year Toddler and Primary students starting in January 2024.

To get started with an application, all families need to create an account on Veracross, our information system. You can do this through our inquiry form by selecting "Create Account" when filling out information for you and your child(ren).

No. Aidan does not require outside testing. However, if a child has any official testing completed or is on a learning plan, they are recommended to submit those reports to the admissions office.
