Admission Process

Priority consideration for the 2026–2027 school year is given to applicants who submit a completed application by January 16. Admission decisions for priority applicants will be released on February 27.

After February 27, applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, as space allows. Please note that financial aid is not available for applications submitted after the January 16 deadline.

Come visit our school to learn more about Montessori education and experience a Montessori classroom in action! When you complete the inquiry form, you will be able to register for a school tour or an upcoming open house.

Begin an Application

All parents/guardians are required to participate in an in-person or virtual interview with our Admissions team.

During this meeting, we will discuss your child’s growth and development, your educational goals, your family, and your interest in joining our school community.

Once you submit an application, you will be prompted to schedule your Parent Interview appointment. We look forward to learning more about your family!

The applicant visit allows us to meet your child in person and learn more about them. During the visit, our teachers will work directly with your child, giving them a lesson and spending quality time together. This is an important step in helping us connect by sharing more about our school and learning more about your family.

(If your child is currently located out of the DC area, we can arrange for a virtual visit with them.)

At Aidan Montessori, we make Admissions decisions based on many factors, with consideration given to balancing gender and age within each multi-age class community. We give priority consideration to siblings of enrolled students who have not applied out and to children of alumni families and faculty and staff.

Admissions decisions for applicants who applied by January 16 will be sent via email by Friday, February 27, 2026. Applications submitted after January 16 will be reviewed and decisions shared on a rolling basis, as space allows. All application items must be completed in order to receive an admissions decision.
