Aidan Joins the Parents Council of Washington

Aidan Montessori School is now a member of the Parents Council of Washington (PCW)! The mission of PCW is "to promote excellence in education by fostering communication between parents, students, and independent schools." As a result, Aidan is delighted to share these excellent resources and events with our community. 

Coming up on December 7 at 7:00 PM, the PCW will host Dr. Chris Thurber and Dr. Hendrie Weisinger as part of their Winter Speaker Series. The authors’ new book, The Unlikely Art of Parental Pressure, addresses the biggest parenting dilemma of all time: how to push kids to succeed and find happiness in a challenging world without pushing them too far.  Drs. Chris Thurber and Hendrie Weisinger will outline eight methods for transforming harmful pressure to healthy pressure and discuss the fine art of balancing the application of parental pressure.
