Aidan Montessori School will be conducting community testing on Monday, November 29 from 1:30-2:30 PM upon our return from Thanksgiving Break. We will once again be using Capital Diagnostics and the testing event will be held on campus. Families can anticipate an email with additional information regarding the flow and location once we get closer to the testing date.
As a reminder, all children will be required to be tested and have results before returning to school in-person on December 2.
We are required not to meet in person until test results come back. This means that our first day back in-person will be Thursday, December 2. In order to maximize the number of days our students are in school, we will be shifting the Parent-Teacher Conferences, originally scheduled for October 28 and 29, to November 30 and December 1 as we await the results of our community testing. Therefore, there will be no DLP on these days and October 28 and 29 will now be normal in-person class days instead of Parent-Teacher Conferences. Additional information on how to secure your conference slot will be coming soon.
In the meantime, we invite you to sign up for your child’s testing slot on November 29. Please take note of the following prior to signing up:
- If your child was previously tested by Capitol Diagnostics on September 2, then simply sign up for your child’s testing slot using the sign up genius link, no later than November 26.
- If your child was not tested by Capitol Diagnostics on September 2, then please follow these steps to register as a new patient before reserving your testing time slot using the sign up genius link.
If you prefer to get your child tested elsewhere, then the test must be done between November 29 and December 1, and the results sent in to Nurse Lexi before your child can return to school.
Additional Community Testing Dates
In addition to community testing on November 29, Aidan will also conduct testing on January 3 following Winter Break and on March 28 following Spring Break. We will have distance learning on January 4 and 5 as we await the results from community testing in January.
As for the March testing, we will be moving our spring Parent-Teacher Conferences to March 29 and 30 from March 17 and 18. There will be no distance learning during the Parent-Teacher Conferences; however, March 17 and 18 will now be normal in-person class days. Additional information about testing and how to sign up will be made available as we get closer to the dates.
If you have any questions regarding testing, please contact Nurse Lexi.
