Over the past two years, many of our traditions have morphed in response to the pandemic. Some of our new families have never experienced some of our events and traditions in their original format—from virtual commencement to Zoom PA meetings, our school and our families have needed to be flexible and open minded.
There was a time when every spring we opened our doors and invited the extended Aidan community to Evening of the Arts and Special Persons' Day. Many special people and grandparents would travel from both near and far, and the building would burst with excitement. With so many of our attendees being from vulnerable populations, we have found it ill-advised to continue in the same way with these events over the past two years.
While we are slowly returning to normal and excited to once again welcome visitors in the school, we are still reluctant to have large indoor gatherings of vulnerable populations. As a result, we have made some modifications to our spring events as noted below. Please take a moment to review the changes.

Help celebrate the end of Aidan’s 60th anniversary year at Spring Fling! All families are warmly invited to attend to help us close out the end of the school year with fun activities sponsored by Aidan’s Parent Association. The event will be held outdoors on Aidan’s grounds. Interested in joining the Spring Fling Committee? Let us know by completing the Parent Volunteer Form.
Commencement - Thursday, June 9 at 7:00 PM
On Thursday, June 9, Aidan will honor our graduating 6th Year students at Commencement. This year’s event will take place at St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Church. Due to capacity limitations, this event will only be open to the graduates and their families, non-graduating Upper Elementary students and their immediate families, and all faculty and staff. For those unable to attend in person, we look forward to live-streaming this event to the Aidan community. Additional details will be shared as we get closer to the event.
We are thrilled to be back on our footing and resuming our "regular" calendar of events! For now, we thank you for your patience and understanding. We cannot wait to celebrate with gusto in person, and the coming year looks very hopeful with vaccines for our youngest children likely being available in the coming months.
Please keep an eye out for more specific information and volunteer opportunities related to the events listed above. We look forward to finishing our 60th year strong and celebrating with our community.
