Sandwich Sunday Recap: Thank You for Your Generosity!

Dear Community,

Aidan's February wrapped up with another Parent Association-led Sandwich Sunday Community Service Drive to support McKenna's Wagon. McKenna’s Wagon is Martha’s Table’s mobile food service, and it goes out 365 days each year to deliver warm meals, sandwiches, and healthy snacks at two locations in downtown DC. 

Children of every age accompanied parents in crafting, packaging, and delivering sandwiches to the school on Monday, February 27. Generosity and graditude have always been pillars of Montessori education, and observing these ideals lived out in the lives of our students is nothing less than inspiring. After all, is there anything more heartwarming than a child who is excited to extend a helping hand to those around them? 

It is always a delight to partner with an organization like Martha’s Table that makes a tangible impact in our city every day. We are overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of the Aidan community—parents, staff, children, and beyond. Thank you to all who prepared and delivered sandwiches to be distrubuted to our neighbors in need!
