Participate Today: Community-Wide Inclusivity & Multiculturalism Survey

Hello Aidan Community!

Looking toward the future of Aidan as it relates to DEI and reflecting on our current strategic plan, it felt necessary that we meaningfully assess our inclusivity as a community through the purchase of the NAIS AIM Assessment of Inclusivity & Multiculturalism. Part of this assessment includes an Online Climate Survey, which is a questionnaire that includes identity and demographic-based questions, along with more open-ended questions meant to gather information regarding your personal experience at Aidan. The questions range from what one’s cultural background is, to how a parent may feel sending their child to school. Depending on your role in our community, the NAIS team will provide you with a specific survey that includes questions that pertain to your experience. Along with this questionnaire, 24 of our older students will also be given the opportunity to take part in this assessment through a Younger Student Survey that the NAIS provides for schools that wish to collect information on the experience of students.

This survey is now available to take at your convenience and will close on March 15. It will take roughly 15 to 20 minutes to complete and the results will be sent directly to the NAIS DASL team to be aggregated and delivered to school leadership in such a way that anonymity is guaranteed throughout the process. Once these results are reflected on and understood by all parties involved, a DEI-focused strategic plan will be created to serve as a guideline for the next 3-4 years as we embark on this diversity journey together as a community.

This is an optional, anonymous survey that serves as a means to better understand the levels of diversity and inclusion within Aidan. While it is optional, we sincerely hope that all members of our community will participate.
