From the Head: Join Us at Under the Boardwalk

Dear Families,

I am writing to you about THE Cannot-Be-Missed-Opportunity of the year: Aidan Montessori School’s Auction to Fund Students. If you’ve been to any of our auctions, you know what I am writing about. Forget notions of stodgy folks in top hats demurely raising paddles. This auction is an action-filled event marked by joy, laughter, and camaraderie. It’s also full of great food, music, drinks, and lively bidding. Come and bid your heart out. Or, come and watch others bid. From Sign-up parties and modest items on our silent auction tables, to larger items such as trips and unique experiences and one-of-a-kind student artwork in our live auction, there’s something for everyone at this all-community event.

There will be works of art by students, destination adventures, teacher-led events for the children and so much more. This gathering is a great chance to meet and interact with other families as well to see our teachers outside of the classroom, enjoying themselves. All of the money raised goes directly into our financial aid budget. Therefore, every penny you spend on tickets and bidding will go to support families who might not otherwise be able to be part of our community.

The evening opens with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, jazz music, boardwalk games, and Silent Auction bidding. We segue to a sit-down dinner of delicious food and drink, which is followed by the liveliest part of the evening: when our professional auctioneer and his team whip the crowd into a frenzy of bidding on enticing and unique prizes. Memories are made and good times are had.

All of this takes place in the historic Empire Ballroom of the Omni Shoreham Hotel, near the school on Calvert Street, on March 14th, from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
