JEDI Presents: Implicit Bias & Disability

JEDI Presents: Implicit Bias & Disability

Aidan's Justice, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusivity Committee (JEDI) is hosting a virtual event for all Aidan parents and staff on Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 7pm to 8pm, entitled “Implicit Bias and Disability featuring Christopher Moy.”

It's been stated, bias is an inevitable component of the human condition. "If you have a brain, you have a bias". This interactive JEDI session will focus on exploring unconscious bias toward people with disabilities and its detrimental impact. Participants will increase their awareness of biases related to disability and identify specific strategies to challenge and implement corrective maneuvers in changing our biases.

Our speaker, Christopher Moy, Director of ADA Compliance & Title IX Coordinator at Montgomery College is a long time advocate for disability rights. We hope you can join us for this important discussion! This event will take place via Zoom and will be recorded and shared with the community following the event.
