Aidan Upper Elementary student Aidan Foster is becoming a published poet!

Foster's poems, "September," "Jackie Robinson," and "El Tigre" have been selected for publication in the inaugural edition of the Washington DC Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Student Anthology. The anthology will be entitled My Voice Matters: Telling Our Stories and Making a Difference.

The selection committee told Foster that they were impressed by his work in haiku (which one judge remarked they didn't know existed until high school), his playful use of a second language, and the strong feelings his writing evoked in them.

Foster has also been invited to the anthology's red carpet launch event later this month.
