September in Spanish: Peace, Color, Autobiographies, and More

by Natalia Lopez, Spanish Teacher

Lets go Spanish! The year is off to a good start.

In Lower Elementary:

All the students learned the song " Enciendo una vela," which is about achieving peace in the world.

Some students are learning colors, pronunciation, writing, and reading.

Other students are using simple verbs in the present tense to write sentences, read, and translate Spanish into English.

In Upper Elementary:

In addition to learning the song "Enciendo una vela," these students are writing short autobiographies. The 4th year students have to write 40 words; 5th years students, 50 words; and 6th year students, 60 words.

Also, students learned the countries of South America and their capitals, and wrote this information in their notebooks.

Please sing with your children:

Una vela por la paz

Una vela por la paz

Una vela por el amor

Una vela por toda la humanidad

Una vela por mi

Una vela por ti

Mi deseo por La Paz del mundo

Un día será verdad

Canto paz por el mundo

Canto paz por el mundo

Canto paz por el mundo

Canto paz por el mundo

Una vela por la paz

Una vela por el amor

Una vela por toda la humanidad

Una vela por mi

Una vela por ti

Mi deseo por La Paz del mundo

Un día será verdad
