After School Program (ASP): Notes from the Returning Director & Photos

by Joy Messick, Director of the After School Program

Greetings ASP Families!

I am thrilled to start the new year serving as the Director of the After School Program. After working as the Co-Director of ASP before in 2013-2015, I am happy to be back and want to welcome all of our new and returning families. I will be updating parents with photos and a blog entry once a month to share our adventures and experiences with you all.

Since winter is still upon us, I'd like to remind parents to please bring in extra warm clothes for your children! We will keep it labeled and stored away for them when needed. In a zip-lock bag with your child's name on it, please bring 1 sweatshirt, 1 long sleeved shirt, 1 pair of sweatpants, 1 pair of long pants, 2 pairs of warm socks, 2 pairs of underwear, an extra pair of gloves/mittens, and a hat if possible. Our playground does not get a lot of sun in the afternoon and can be very windy and chilly. The children love to spend their time outdoors but can only do so if they are dressed appropriately. Please help us keep them warm by having extra clothes on hand. I will be sending home any current clothing we have for them that was brought in for the warmer season.

Thank you again so much, and please enjoy the photos below, courtesy of Aidan parent Kristen Franklin!
