Alden joined Aidan's Upper Elementary team in January, 2018. After spending two years as a Primary Montessori Guide in Bethesda, he came to Aidan as Director of the After School Program (or ASP, as we usually call it), in which capacity he served Aidan from 2013-2018. In summer of 2017, Alden pursued AMI Adolescent program training, to enrich what he can offer Aidan's students. His love for spending time outdoors, together with his Montessori perspective, inform a lot of how ASP students spend their time - and why they so love the program.
Alden grew up all over the United States. He enjoys working with his hands. He spends much of his free time either in his woodshop, making odds and ends as well as customized Montessori materials, gardening, building, or outdoors, where he likes hiking, camping, and generally enjoying the natural world.
