Cindy Jean's enthusiasm for the Montessori methodology rose from her passion for education and especially the importance of fair and equitable access. Cindy is a recent graduate (2023) of Howard University and has worked hard to become a catalyst for change. She has also been a youth advocate in the Juvenile Justice Advisory Group (JJAG), which served as an advisory board to Muriel Bowser, mayor of D.C. She has volunteered at juvenile and at-risk youth facilities throughout DC. Cindy also participated in a summer research program with American University's School of Education focused on literacy with youth of color (children 5-8). Cindy joined the Aidan community in the 2023-2024 school year.

Cindy was born and raised in South Florida and is proud of her Haitian heritage. She is an avid basketball fan, especially of her favorite team the Miami Heat. In her free time she also enjoys listening to music and hiking.
