Eduardo Cuesta joined Aidan in February 2021 as the long-term substitute in the Magnolia Community and currently serves as the Upper School Substitute. He moved to the United States in 2009, and his first experience working in the States was as an assistant teacher at Nuevas Fronteras Spanish Immersion, a bilingual Elementary school in Minnesota. It was here that he first discovered his love for teaching. In 2015, Eduardo completed his Montessori training in Lower Elementary while working at Latin American Montessori Bilingual Public Charter School as an Upper Elementary teacher. He also spent time at Mundo Verde Bilingual Public Charter School, where he learned about Project Based Learning and quickly reaffirmed his passion for Montessori, and served as an Elementary Montessori teacher at Waterfront Academy. Eduardo received his AMI Elementary accreditation in 2022.
When he is not working, Eduardo likes to spend time with his family. He is the father of two children and his wife is also a Montessori guide. He enjoys the simple pleasures in life: playing with his children, reading while enjoying a nice cup of coffee, going for a run, watching a movie, or soaking up the silence in the house after everyone has gone to sleep. During the summers, Eduardo and his family love to travel to Spain and reconnect with life-long friends and family.
