Christmas or Christmas Day is the Christian celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. It is one of the most sacred Christian Holidays, along with Easter, and is often celebrated through various related feasts and observances before and after the day itself. The date on which it is observed was probably influenced by pre-existing celebrations of the Winter Solstice.
