We are excited to announce that on February 13 in place of our previously schedule EPIC, Aidan will now be hosting a screening of the documentary about Mr. Rogers called "Won't You Be My Neighbor?"
The screening will take place in the St. Thomas Church Auditorium from 6-8 PM. All families are warmly invited to attend and we encourage you to bring your friends and neighbors. Aidan is partnering with SOME (So Others Might Eat) and we request that all attendees bring a non-perishable food item (canned or boxed item) to this event or drop-off donations in the school lobby February 11-15 as the "price" of admission.
The film explores the life and career of Fred Rogers and is geared primarily toward adults and children ages 10 and above. We encourage you to check out the Common Sense Media summary for "Won't You Be My Neighbor?" and we will leave it to your discretion as to whether or not this film is appropriate for your children.
Please note that this is not a drop-off event and there will be no childcare. All parents are responsible for their own children. Food will not be served at the event, however in addition to your SOME donation, families are welcome to pack a picnic dinner and bring blankets and pillows on which to sit and view the film. Chairs will also be available for seating.
So grab your cardigans, pack a picnic, and join us Wednesday, February 13 for "Won't You By My Neighbor?" Please RSVP and let us know if you plan attend. We hope to see you there!
