All Toddler and Primary families are warmly invited to join us for our upcoming three-part APF program featuring guest speaker Liz Hagerman, a therapist at the Center of Family Well Being in Washington DC. These three online sessions titled: Creating Safe Harbor in the Storm: Young Children and the Pandemic Environment, will focus on the impact of the pandemic on our children's social and emotional well-being and what parents can do to help. We invite all lower school families to join us for at 8:00 PM on January 27, February 2, and February 10 for this very important discussion. Each session will focus on a different topic as outlined below:
Session 1 - January 27: The pandemic's impact on young children's well-being and mental health based on research, observations, and experiences.
Session 2 - February 2: Understanding the roots of challenging behaviors and exploring attachment-based, positive discipline approaches to support our children.
Session 3 - February 10: "Putting on our Oxygen Mask First"-the importance of parent self-care.
