EPIC: COVID-19 and the Impact on Children's Mental Health
-
Virtual

Please join us on Wednesday, November 10 at 8 PM for our upcoming EPIC on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental well-being of our children. In addition, we will also share additional resources on how to talk with your child about difficult topics and current events. While this event is an EPIC (Elementary Parent Information Class), we warmly invite all Aidan parents to join us for this important conversation.

Aidan School Counselor, Courtenay Labson, will lead a guided discussion about how to talk about anxiety, stress, and emotional responses in children and adults brought on by the pandemic and subsequent return to school full time. Anxiety has skyrocketed in children as a result of COVID, and has undoubtedly manifested in our own students and their behavior, study habits, and general desire to go to school and participate in activities.

This engaging discussion will include how we can and should be proactive in addressing anxiety and aggression, in addition to offering ample opportunities to discuss strong negative feelings and the resulting negative behaviors that are coming out at school and home. We invite families to share their experiences and tune-in for this discussion.
