Mrs. Sharee Lawler
Before becoming a stay-at-home parent, Sharee was an independent consultant working with small businesses and nonprofits on their strategic direction, marketing and communications. She was also a writer and editor for The Hill is Home, a hyperlocal neighborhood blog covering Capitol Hill. In 2016, she was accepted into an incubation program for writers and, during that time, published a book about her experience as a caregiver during a family medical crisis. Sharee's previous board experience includes two terms on the executive committee of the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop as well as the Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce. She was also elected to a term as an Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner in Ward 6 and, in that role, served on the board of a charter school in her district.
Sharee and her husband Tom have twin daughters attending Aidan. As a family, their favorite things to do are take walks in Rock Creek Park, play board games, do puzzles and cook. Sharee also has a closet overflowing with art supplies and enjoys finding new projects for the girls. In her free time, she's likely to combine her two favorite hobbies by taking a long walk while listening to a book.
