Daniel is an Executive Director and Senior Philanthropic Advisor at Morgan Stanley, where he provides customized philanthropic advisory services to individuals, families, and family offices, as well as nonprofit, foundation, and corporate clients. He has more than 15 years of experience as an advisor, evaluator, and grant-maker in the philanthropic sector. In that time, he has partnered with dozens of institutional, family, and corporate philanthropists who have sought to achieve greater impact with their giving in areas such as K-12 education, affordable housing, community development, health access, and others. Prior to his career in philanthropy, Daniel was a writer and policy analyst, and his writing on foreign policy, security affairs, and citizen engagement appeared in the New Republic, Foreign Policy, Mother Jones, and newspapers across the country.

A Woodley Park resident, Daniel joined the Aidan community in 2020 when his daughter enrolled in the Toddler program.
