Going Out...

From Aidan’s youngest students to its oldest, cultural events, visiting artists and enriching experiences are an important part of school life. Toddlers may sink their fingers into a small tank of sea creatures placed on the playground, full-day Primary students may go out to see a performance at the Kennedy Center or learn from a visiting artist, and Upper Elementary students may travel to the Newfound Harbour Marine Institute in Florida to study sea mammals, coral and other marine life. “Going out” is an ordinary part of life in a Montessori school where the world holds much to see beyond its walls.

After School...

Aidan’s after-school Discovery Program expands on an already thorough curriculum, in an atmosphere of high interest and relaxed companionship. Students from full-day Primary to 6th grade enjoy choosing from foreign languages, art lessons in specific media, music lessons, informal sport and athletic programs, chess, computer animation, and various crafts such as knitting, needlepoint and calligraphy. The after-school program is optional, upbeat and lots of fun. Before and after-school child care is available for children ages 3-12. This program includes all the elements of creativity, fun and play with nurturing supervision and support. A quiet space for naps is offered for those younger children as needed, and for older children to work on homework assignments.
