Auction Basics
Each year Aidan holds an Auction to raise funds for Financial Aid. There are two parts to the Auction: The first is an Online Auction and the second is a Silent & Live Auction with cocktails, dinner, an auctioneer, and a spirited party atmosphere. All Aidan parents, teachers and staff are invited to attend. Alumni families and friends of Aidan are also welcome. Funds raised at the Auction help maintain the special cultural and economic diversity of Aidan's student population...an important component of a Montessori education.
Our Silent & Live Auction event is divided into different sections, each showcasing a variety of items to purchase or bid upon. Highlights include...
Silent Auction
Silent items will be displayed throughout the main room and organized by category. During the Silent Auction, guests can find individual items (some repeat favorites and some new!), Sign-up Parties, Mystery Boxes and A to Z Baskets.
Live Auction
The Live Auction occurs during dinner and is perhaps the most exciting and lively part of the evening! It’s during this segment that our auctioneer will present our biggest-ticket items, the Grand Raffle is drawn, and guests generously contribute to Fund-a-Student.
Class Projects
Class Projects are a special part of the Auction. Every year each class creates a special project for the Auction. We appreciate the time and effort that teachers, students and parent volunteers put into each project and so this year we are enhancing the presentation of the Class Projects both before and at the Auction.
How can we bid on a Class Project? Class Projects will be on display during the Silent Auction where bidders will be invited to make their best offers by submitting secret bids. Bidding will be open during both the Silent and Live Auctions. The winners will be announced during the Live Auction.
