Since 1961 Aidan has remained steadfast in its mission as a Montessori school. 

While many schools incorporate elements of the Montessori philosophy into their traditional programs, an authentic Montessori model is so comprehensive that it is quite distinct. Aidan is the oldest Montessori school in Washington, DC accredited by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). Aidan has been chosen by generations of families for its commitment to the best in Montessori education.

Aidan's Mission: to create and sustain an optimum Montessori educational environment to enable each child to realize his or her richest potential for learning and to become an independent, self-motivated and contributing member of the world community.
